Geneviève Gilbert of Pink Cross Foundation Australia

Geneviève Gilbert

Executive Director

Geneviève Gilbert is an artist, activist and founder of Pink Cross Australia. Born in Québec, Canada, she has a Bachelor of Visual Arts, a Masters of Communication (Interactive Media) and a Graduate Diploma in Multimedia. While undertaking her Masters, Geneviève entered prostitution to pay off her student debts. It was this experience – and the violence and trauma she suffered throughout it – that led her to create Pink Cross Foundation Australia. Read her story here.

Guided by Christian egalitarian principles and feminist theory framework, Pink Cross connects with, supports and informs people affected by commercial sexual exploitation, providing service referrals and non-judgmental, compassionate care. Geneviève believes that both parties in the prostitution cycle must be educated on its harm, in order to abolish the system. Thus, the organisation also supports and informs people who view pornography or purchase sexual access to a person’s body on the disadvantage, violence and exploitation behind the glamour.

Kabir Singh

Commercial Manager

It all started in Genesis 3 — when humanity told God to take a hike. Since then, evil and suffering have marred our world. One area I’m especially passionate about is commercial sexual exploitation, including the harm caused by pornography, prostitution, and related industries. I believe every person carries equal, intrinsic value — regardless of sexuality, race, religion, or ability — because we are all made in the image of God.

I hold a Master’s in Economics and Finance from the University of Queensland (2020) and am committed to using that knowledge to grow Pink Cross into a global organisation that reaches millions. Outside of Pink Cross, I work full time in finance and am a professional beatboxer with over a decade of experience. I also enjoy reading and keeping active — both physically and spiritually.

Alexis Cullimore of Pink Cross Australia

Alexis Cullimore

Operations Manager

Graduating with a Bachelor of Law in late 2023, I have a profound interest in international human sexual trafficking law and its practical application. My analytical thinking skills and drive to see a change within communities in need is what motivates me to take on this leadership role.

Given our current hypersexualised and violent media landscape, Pink Cross comes in with plans to disrupt that cultural push. I truly want to support them grow for this. I want to see people heal, change, and live healthy lives.

Making mental health access more available to those affected by commercial sexual exploitation is something very important to me. I want to make my career bold enough to stop violence against women and human rights abuse. We must educate for prevention, rehabilitate for health, and we MUST protect the children. If we don’t, who will?
