Commercial Property Manager

Board Member

Pink Cross is URGENTLY seeking a Commercial Property Manager to source and manage the lease of an office space. 
 
We require an office space to: 
  • Hold board meetings
  • Receive goods, store and prepare Care Pack donations distributed to women at risk
  • Conduct interviews for new Board members, volunteers, and staff
  • Hold team meetings
  • Meet with men and women for Intake Interviews over a coffee, in a safe environment
  • Meet with stakeholders and donors over a coffee, in a safe environment
  • Receive and prepare items sold from our online store
  • Hold male peer group support meetings
  • Hold female peer group support meetings
  • Hold therapeutic sessions for recovery with female and male participants*.
  • Maintain and grow our library 

*To keep people safe because of the prevalence of PTSD triggers, we do not use the word ‘client’ to describe those seeking our services

Board Meeting Frequency: quarterly
Board Meetings held: on weekends
 
Area of Expertise being Sought: 
Advocacy / Government Relations, Fundraising, Marketing / Branding, Media / Communications / Public Relations, Program and Program Management, Research and Development / Innovation. 
 
Targeting: Females, Porn Addicts, Consumers
 

Pink Cross offers compassionate support to people experiencing Commercial Sexual Exploitation through:

We have one entry-level 8 week SMART program which is volunteer-led. This pilot program is ending in November 2020. Beyond this, we count on your astute business sense to find the funds to help us appoint an Award-wage Support Worker to walk a recovery journey with the hurting women referred to us.

Website and Graphic Designer

Communications Officer

Pink Cross is seeking a website and graphics designer with experience in eCommerce, to support our web content writer,  specifically working on our online store. Further work can comprise the printing of new stationary. 
 
The work can be done remotely, or once COVID restrictions end, at our office on either a Tuesday or Wednesday, and will require a time commitment of approximately 4 hours per week. 
 
If you have a background in Website or Graphic Design, or are a student studying media or visual communication or a similar degree, we would love to hear from you.

As a Communications Officer you will be responsible for assisting the Pink Cross team in drafting and publishing documents including but not limited to social media posts (FaceBook, LinkedIn and Twitter), e-newsletter content, press releases, as well as assisting with promotional work.  The work can be done remotely, or once COVID restrictions end, at our office on either a Tuesday or Wednesday, and will require a time commitment of approximately 2 hours a week. 
 
If you have a background in communications, are a student of PR, strategic communications or a similar degree and would like to gain some experience, we would love to hear from you.

Research Assistant

Film Editor

Pink Cross is looking for a volunteer to assist with research relevant to our programs and our organisation’s aims. This may include researching topical issues to write articles for our e-newsletters, researching push-and-pull factors into sexual exploitation to assist with grant applications, researching warning signs to assist with planning ‘How to Spot Human Trafficking’ sessions, as well as other research which is relevant to the organisation’s tasks.  This position will also include ad hoc copywriting.  The work can be done remotely, or once COVID restrictions end, at our office on either a Tuesday or Wednesday and will require a time commitment of approximately 2 hours a week. 
 
If you have excellent research and written communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Uplift your career and elevate our cause!  Are you a budding filmmaker wanting experience?  Equipped with editing software and time on your hands? Position now available for a short-term role, 2-8 hours of work to be completed.  Long-term pilot project to be discussed.

Our current need is for someone to do short clips editing, but can expand to a broader role producing media for us.  We look forward to hearing from you!

We are also looking for:

BROTHEL OUTREACH WARRIORS: Heart-convicted female team member/leader who plans, collect and prepare food/gifts to drive to and connect with women in the legal adult industry in Victoria. Prior to COVID, current team operated on Monday.  A Friday night team is needed when we can resume outreach.

MALE MENTORS: Mature and experienced men who can support and encourage other men (mostly younger) seeking help for transitioning out of prostitution or breaking free from a pornography or sex addiction.
 
FEMALE MENTORS: Heart-convicted, mature and experienced women who can support and encourage more vulnerable women seeking help transitioning out of prostitution or breaking free from a pornography or sex addiction.
 
ONLINE MODERATORS (female/male): To communicate with people reaching out to Pink Cross. Moderating our social media platforms, engaging with our audience and bringing ongoing, positive support.
 
INTERNS: If you are a student and wish to get work experience in community services or other specialist field, get in touch. We offer placements taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. We are based in Melbourne, Australia.
 
TRANSLATORS: To help connect with women who don’t speak English. Thai, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, and Russian language skills could be particularly useful. We are currently looking to translate a number of documents in those languages.
 
IMAGE GURUS: People with film skills to help us create video-based content.
 
ARTISTS AND CURATORS: To help organise awarereness raising exhibitions
 
MARKETING AND RESEARCH PROFESSIONALS: To help us spread the word about Pink Cross.
 
SOLLICITORS (pro bono): Support the Equality/Nordic Model implementation in Australia with new Bill drafting, connect women with the right resources to address domestic violence, child custody issues, marriage issues, criminal issues, and more. Advice our CEO and other members abou
 different legal matters. Support the re-writing of our Constitution. Support the writing of legal agreements with our partners.
 
COUNSELLORS (pro bono): To offer counselling to those who are experiencing trauma symptoms as a result of the sex industry.
