Pink Cross Foundation Australia is committed to upholding the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988. We recognise the importance of privacy and community awareness regarding the collection, use, disclosure and security of personal and sensitive information which we may collect during the course of our many functions. This privacy policy sets out how we manage your personal and sensitive information and protect your privacy.
What personal information do we collect and store?
So that we we can provide services to you, we may ask for personal details such as your name, address, telephone number or email address. Some examples of where we may need these details are home delivery of merchandise from our online store, or subscription to our mailing list. Privacy law requires us to collect personal information about you only if it is reasonable and practical to do so.
Pink Cross takes measures to ensure your personal information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure or alteration. We also take measures to destroy personal information when it is no longer required.
Generally, you have no obligation to provide any information requested by us. If you choose to withhold requested information however, we may not be able to provide you with the goods and services that depend on the collection of that information.
How is your personal information used?
Pink Cross performs many functions and provides you with a range of services. We will only collect personal and sensitive information that is necessary for us to carry out these functions and provide these services. The type of information we may collect, hold and use, varies depending on the purpose for which it was collected but may include the following (amongst others):
Supporters – as a supporter of Pink Cross, we may need to collect your name and contact details. As a valued financial supporter of our fundraising activities, we may also need to collect your bank account or credit card details.
Service recipients, program participants or clients of our other services, or those volunteering toward our services – as a recipient of, or participant in, one of our many services and programs (such as our SMART program, brothel outreach, or online counselling services), we may need your name and contact details, and emergency contact details.
Customers – as a customer of our online store, we may need to collect your name and contact details at the time of purchase or in connection with your donation of goods.
Personnel – as a volunteer or member of Pink Cross, we may need to collect information about your name and contact details, qualifications, previous experience and emergency contact details.
Access to your personal information
We will provide you with access to any of your personal information we hold (except in the limited circumstances required by privacy law).

REFUND POLICY AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Membership
Memberships can be cancelled at any time. Membership fees are normally non-refundable but if you have made an error in your membership selection or change your mind about becoming a member of Pink Cross Australia, please email info[@]pinkcross.org.au
Donations
Due to the nature of charity donations, refunds are given at the discretion of our management. Please make sure that the amount you enter is the amount you wish to give. In the event of an incorrect amount being entered, or if the donation is made accidentally or there is an extremely unusual circumstance, please email us at info[@]pinkcross.org.au and we will review the request and respond. We will refund if there was a system error with the donation processing. If a donation is refunded, the associated tax receipt is no longer truthful so it should be shredded and destroyed.
Merchandise
If you are not satisfied with your product or would like a different size, we are happy to exchange it for a new one or refund your purchase price. This is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Please contact us at info[@]pinkcross.org.au to arrange a refund/exchange.
